GFC.

GFC stands for Ghetto Fried Chicken, a statement invented by my good friend Kyle. He has a knack to say extremely catchy things that I have incorporated into my daily lexicon, such as GFC, "Mmmhmmm," and "It's not a good look!". Since about February, I've pretty much have been saying "ghetto fried chicken" on a daily basis, including this blog. It is said frequently on each other's Facebook pages, among our circle of friends, and by my own family members.

I want to make it clear that GFC is not intended to offend anyone, anything, or any group; it's supposed to entertain, to put into words the ridiculousness we come across as New Yorkers that live primarily in Queens and Brooklyn. The powers of GFC does not discriminate in any way, shape, or form. It can refer to absolutely anything! From the potholes on Jamaica Avenue that the bus runs through that makes us spill our drinks on the person next to us, to the broken chopsticks we find in a hip Thai restaurant in Williamsburg, to having a waiter pack up our food at Max Brenner's to take home to our moms, it's all ghetto fried chicken to us. Then we laugh, soaking in all the little things that makes everyday life fun and interesting.

If GFC was literally an actual food, I'd eat it. It'll fill you up with good humor! ;)
